Deserve What You Want
My father's Guru, Sadguru Nityananda of Ganeshpuri(and of the entire world), A Soul of Succinct Words, Preached, "From Here(Him), one can take, He doesnt Give". There is so much truth hidden in this Sutra(?). Whatever we get, it's because we deserve it. We may have earned the consequences from actions done by us in the previous births or this birth.
As students, we study understand, put our knowledge to use, emerge victorious, if we use it well. This is so, in every material field. Know many cases, where parents "pay" pocket money as an earning for running errands within their capacity. A very good practice, teaching them "deserve your earning".
When we go for employment interview, we go prepared, clinch the job, if we handle the interview well. In other words, we deserve and get it. As we analyse, it holds good in every part of our lives. Be it education, employment, getting a life partner(to a great extent), friends, business and other deals.
To every action, there is an equal and an opposite reaction? If we do good, there may be initial pain. But then, where there is pain, gain is assured. If the pain is the opposite reaction, there is bound to be equal reaction as well. It may not be immediate. If I plant a mango tree, I need to wait for the ripe fruit. Got to nurture and ensure it's strong growth, then alone can I enjoy the fruits.
When we say gain follows pain, can it be vice versa? Certainly! If I stand to gain at somebody's expense, now, someday, I will have to bear the pain. Wonder, those who do wrong for momentary gains, do they realise, the extent of pains they will have to undergo. Are they prepared for it?
Take for instance, the most recent tragedy- there's tremendous gain to those behind such incidents. It is at the cost of so many lives, loss of property, trade, etc. In effect, gain to a few and pain to many. Wont the Karmic Law not work? Law of Attraction? What will such action attract? Positive vibes? Dont think so. According to those who carry out such acts, there may be gain. Pain will follow. One can escape laws of the land, what about Divine Law, Karmic Law? It's impossible to hide from The Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent One.
If our actions are in accordance with Mother Nature, Wont there be only good deeds? Protecting the flora and fauna. I am certain, She will Reward us with Her natural Bounty! We humans, animals, birds, reptiles, aquatic animals are but Her children. When we hear animals, birds cries and insects, reptiles attacking in self defence, aquatic animals trying to escape being caught, suppose Mother Nature is signalling us to spare them. Are we right in using them for livelihood?

We must awaken ourselves to the fact that animals are not on this planet for us to use kill and eat. They are here 1) to give lessons of contentment, forgiveness, humility and compassion. 2)to add to the beauty of or planet.
