Hinduism-A way of purity in life
I have always wondered, What is Hinduism? Often, heard my late father say, Hinduism is not a religion. It is a way of life. Advancing years and thinking time on hands, helped to draw a few conclusions.
1)All religions are great. If we truly understand, any religion, all religions lead to the same Divinity. There is no Hindu God, no Islamic God, no Christian God. People of Bharat(India) knew this. It is in their blood..
Perhaps, that is why, adopting other religions, getting converted is easy. Hinduism(a name given by non Hindus) is a way of life. Why?
1)A very liberal religion. For converting to "Hinduism" there are no SOPs. If one's mind says, "Convert", we get converted. Can anyone be converted without their willingness? God lives within us and without. If we search for Divinity, outside of us, we are ignorant. It would be like those blindfolded men exploring different parts of an elephant and concluding that they are right.
All those who follow the preachings of purity and sanctity of God's creation, Sanathan Dharma. follow humanity as a religion. The Creator, is beyond religion, caste, creed, class etc.
2)Division on the basis of castes, colour, creed etc has been a sad manipulation of those who have vested interests.
3)People who feel "Hinduism" has to have an identity have not understood the true way of life. There is no need to have an identity for "Hinduism" or Vedic Religion. It is as natural as a good human. Any person who is a good human being, is following Hinduism. Even if, that person is a devout follower of any other religion.
How can that be?

What about customs and rituals?
There are people who blindly follow them.
Over the centuries, great souls, sages for whom human birth was solely for the benefit of others Through aeons of study, austerities, meditation and experiments on self, designed them. They are so profound and sublime, practitioners can benefit even by blindly following them.
